I was so pleasantly surprised by this second book in the Thalia Story. The plot changes unexpectedly, and becomes a story of overcoming trauma and a real love story. The story shifts to a new male protagonists that actually helps her find her way and makes the original protagonist into a bigger villan, which I found SOOOOOOO original. Normally these stories revolve around the captor and the captive finally falling in love, which I've personally always found incredibly hard to relate to. So although I was expecting the author to continue on with the story with Marcus trying desperately to redeem himself and be worthy of Thalia, I was even more drawn to the story by this unpredictable change and found it difficult to put the book down. It is important to say that there is a lot of BDSM and explicit sex in this series, which I normally don't like, but for this story I think it's kind of necessary and the author makes it work.I would very much recommend this series to people who like this genre. Those who have read books like Tears of Tess or Uncovering You might even like this one more, for it is much more realistic and has an unpredictable element to the story those others don't. Definatley worth it.

Thalia is finally safe with her new master in his home but is she truly safe? Will the horror that Marcus put her through ruin everything James and her are building? Can James help her really heal with help from long time friends? This was a suspenseful addition to the series. I loved watching Thalia and James relationship develop over time. Looking forward to the final installment of the series.
I’m in the process of rereading all of this author’s books. There’s way too many cotton candy romances streaming onto that a reader forgets what an actual good book is like. Everything this author writes is a worthy story to tell. Her character development, her pacing and her unpredictability makes her books never to be missed.
This is a continuation of what happens once James gets Thalia back to his home. He tries to help Thalia get some of her spunk back, but learns he needs some help. Enter Kalen and Maggie and their little place called Purgatory. I wish I could teleport myself into Purgatory because despite the name, this place is heaven for me. This book is a must read!!
This was my favorite Thalia book. I really enjoyed how amazing James was in helping Thalia to deal with the hardships she's gone through in the first book. He's so loving and caring that I fell for him from the very first page. The sex is HOT and the kink is even HOTTER. Don't miss your chance to pick up this awesome book. You won't regret it.
I will not tell you about the story because I want you to read this book and the rest. This book is very dark and there is a lot of BDSM scenes which Jennifer does an excellent job in describing. I would recommend this series.
When I finished Security Binds Her, it was before SaB, and I wasn't sure I'd ever get to continue to follow Thalia's story. I was surprised and ecstatic when Jennifer Bene began releasing the next epic additions. If you've read SBH, you'll find this to be both similar and entirely different; the theme vastly shifts (from intense non-consensual) to consensual, caring play, but the scenes are just as hot. James is everything you'd ever want to find in a Dom; skilled, sexy, successful and adoring. The storyline in Purgatory made me intensely jealous that I've never found anything like it (Scots meets BDSM meets slumber party). If you've read SBH, if you found the first too dark to immerse yourself into, or even if you haven't found it, you need this installment!
The second book in the Thalia series. It starts right after the first book ends with James having bought Thalia at the auction. This book deals with the aftermath of the traumatic events in book one. Can she even be “normal” again. Questions that are not easy to answer or deal with. This is also the introduction to Purgatory and it's owners Kalen and Maggie.
